Step 1: Skin prep
Dry skin acts as a barrier. Enhance your results by applying an indoor tanning accelerator or bronzer immediately prior to your tanning session. Avoid applying oils not intended to help your skin tan such as sunscreen or sun-block.
Step 2: Skin assessment
Our associate will ask you questions to help determine your skin type and recommend an appropriate tanning time.
Step 3: Eye protection
Use specialized goggles (available for purchase) that are designed to block UV rays during your sunbed session. Protecting your eyes is crucial to prevent eye damage.
Step 4: Sunbed controls
A technician will show you back to your tanning room and review all the different options in the tanning equipment such as controls for the fans, facial lamps, lamp intensity controls, music and more. Familiarize yourself with the controls (on and off) and settings of the sunbed before using it.
Step 5: Body position
Lay back and enjoy the summer-like atmosphere. Don’t worry if you fall asleep, that’s normal, the sunbed will turn off automatically at the end of your session.
Step 6: Moisturize
After using a sunbed, it’s important to take care of your skin. Apply a moisturizer to soothe and hydrate your skin. Avoid using products that contain alcohol or fragrances that may further irritate the skin.
Step 7: Hydration
Just like spending the day at the beach, your body will need the extra hydration. Be sure to drink plenty of water after your session.
Step 8: Routines
Consult with the salon associates for planning a routine based on your skin type and tanning goals. Typically, it’s recommended to use a sunbed 2-3 times per week until the desired color is achieved.
Year-round tan
Sunbed tanning allows you to maintain a beautiful tan regardless of the season. Whether it's winter or a cloudy day, you can enjoy a sun-kissed complexion whenever you desire.
Time efficiency
Sunbed tanning offers a time-efficient way to achieve a tan. Compared to natural sun exposure, sunbed sessions can be shorter, allowing you to fit them into your busy schedule.
Controlled exposure
Sunbeds provide controlled exposure to UV rays, allowing you to customize your tanning experience based on your skin type and desired intensity. With adjustable settings, you have the flexibility to gradually build your tan while minimizing the risk of overexposure.
Boost of Vitamin D
Sunbeds can stimulate the production of vitamin D in the body, which is essential for maintaining healthy bones and overall well-being. Sunbed sessions can supplement your vitamin D levels, especially during seasons with limited sunlight.
