Step 1: Oral hygiene
Prior to the LED teeth whitening treatment, brush and floss your teeth thoroughly. This helps remove any plaque and debris, allowing the whitening gel to come into direct contact with your teeth.
Step 2: Prevent staining
In the days leading up to the treatment, try to minimize or avoid consuming staining substances such as coffee, tea, red wine, or tobacco. These can interfere with the whitening process and affect the results.
Step 3: Apply gel
Use the provided applicator or tray to apply a thin layer of the whitening gel to the front surface of your teeth. Take care to avoid contact with your gums.
Step 4: Position LED light
Place the LED device near your mouth, ensuring it is properly positioned to cover all the treated teeth. Follow the instructions regarding the recommended duration for using the LED device.
Step 5: Session duration
Sessions are 45 minutes. Do not exceed the recommended session time to avoid teeth sensitivity.
Step 6: Rinse and brush
After the recommended treatment time, remove the LED device from your mouth and rinse your mouth thoroughly to remove any residual whitening gel. Brush your teeth gently with toothpaste, as you would in your regular oral hygiene routine. This helps remove any remaining gel and leaves your mouth feeling fresh.
Step 7: Avoid staining
For the next 24 to 48 hours after the treatment, avoid consuming staining substances to maximize the longevity of the whitening results.
